Mixed Media
I have been an artist in one form or another most of my life. From the roots of my high school art class, throughout raising my three children until the present, I have created many works of art. Whether gifted, donated or sold at shows I have enjoyed sharing my paintings and the joy it brings to others.
More recently I have been exploring art through mixed media while also pursuing other passions over the years.
I work in several mediums including watercolor, gouache and acrylics mostly and am looking forward to exploring oils in the future. The focus of my work has been faces which prompted the creation of “her magic eyes” as my art personification. “I have always loved color in my work but I am also drawn to the shadow places that exist which I sometimes explore in my pieces as well”.
“I often use wings in my paintings and art pieces. Although some people see angels, I consider wings as representing a form of transport or transformation, as in, 'what are you moving toward or away from' in your life”.
Before coming to the Mill I had an art studio in Pawtucket RI where I enjoyed the local art culture of the area as well as the other artists that shared space with me.
I’ll be continuing to add to my portfolio while here at the Mill and hope you enjoy my current collection full of color and whimsy.
