Chronicle 5 WCVB Visits the Mill

In January of 2022, Grounded Place Studio (4th floor), the artistic home of father-daughter Peter Grandy and Laura McGann, was visited by Chronicle’s award-winning media team. While highlighting a few other amazing Holliston locations such as Aesop's Fable, Bird & Bear Collective, and Mindful Recovery, Nicole Estaphan got her creative juices flowing with a tour of the Mill and some hands-on experience with stained glass and alcohol inks.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Nicole interviews Peter whose passion for stained glass as a former Congregationalist Minister has piqued Nicole's curiosity. As the cameras start rolling, Nicole delves deeper into Peter's fascinating journey, exploring the roots of his intrigue and now retirement.

Plenty of laughs behind the scenes…

Nicole has a way of interviewing where one truly feels like they’re just talking to a friend. There are no pre-planned questions or answers, and of course, no idea what cuts will come together for the final segment.

“We didn’t realize how many people watched Chronicle!” Peter and Laura shared that they heard from so many folks all over New England who watch the show ritualistically. “It’s been fun to still hear folks say they saw us on the show, even after a year or more. It’s been great to find people who have never heard of the Mill and who now want to take a stained glass or painting class. We’re so glad Erin at The Bird & Bear Collective mentioned our name when the Chronicle team asked for recommendations of who to visit!”
